Thank you for this article. It made me think that other than the Venus-Mars (Aries-Libra and Taurus- Scorpion) polarity there must be a Mercury-Jupiter (Gemini-Sagitarius and Virgo-Pisces) polarity as well as a Sun- Saturn (leo-Aquarius) and a Moon- Saturn (Cancer-Capricorn) polarity. If so, which would be the animals associated with these planetary polarities?

Kolisko's Zoology books (hard to obtain) gets into some of these associations, as does Karl König in Earth and Man.

I wish I could answer your question with specifics, but my experience often goes from the practical world and then I stumble onto an epiphany that explains what I'd already observed. I rarely work down from planets to experience, but tend to live in experiences and then find planetary explanations (often by accident) after prolonged contemplation.

The animals are listed, I believe, in Earth and Man by Karl König, which I don't have readily available. But it's a good book. I have a few quibbles with it, but not ones that would make the book useless. That book is overwhelmingly a rich experience.

Thank you sooo much for this delightful and very enlightening bit of information.

As an aspiring BD and organic garden maintenance/landscape professional I am so pleased to read this… you can imagine I have roses to tend and knew there was a connection between roses and manure… and I delight in the understanding of animal waste to plant affinity.

And even more delighted to hear of the nettle affinity…. Since I ferment my own nettles and would love to share with my garden clients and rose friends!

Thank you for this enlightening article. I live on a farm we have sheep and cows. On a basic level this supports the mixed farm approach which increases the health of the whole farm....a fascinating one to ponder on
