I really needed to see this today.

Thank you.

The beauty of the flowers singing their song and the vibrancy of the vegetables and gentleness of the people tending their lives on the land.

Hope, in this crazy world.

I believe that the Garden was at University of Santa Cruz, rather than University of California, Berkeley.

Ok so I checked again on the alan-chadwick.org and they say it is University of California, Santa Cruz or UCSC so I have updated the text to reflect that change. Thanks for catching the error! No excuse but I am Canadian... ;)

Fascinating! I had no idea Steiner was his tutor and knew him personally! It makes sense with so much of what Alan says, but still mind blowing on how small the world is! Great read! Thank you!!!

Thank you for making readers aware of Alan’s work! He has always held a special place in my heart! My introduction to gardening and Anthroposophy coincided with the work Alan was doing in California. I took gardening classes at Green Gulch Farm inspired by Alan’s work there and began studying Biodynamic Gardening through Dennis Klocek’s Biodynamic Book of Moons. I remember my amazement the first time I double dug the ground in preparation of an overwhelmingly fruitful vegetable garden with my young children. Nice summary!
