Job Opening at JPI & Invitation: Demeter Colloquium on Biodynamic Preparations / Invitacion
(Español más abajo)
Hello folks! JPI will soon be saying farewell to Doug (whose voice you’ve heard for our Cosmic Journal entries), and he will continue his studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM, which he’s studying in the Chinese language, no less!) in California. Many of you have spoken to Doug on the phone, so wish him well in his journey.
Doug’s help has allowed JPI to grow and mature through 2023, and now we are looking for a determined and enthusiastic person willing to commit to the long-term goals of the Josephine Porter Institute and the biodynamic community at large. In alchemy, the first step of an apprenticeship (which would last many years) was tending the fires. Long before the alchemist allowed the aspirant to graduate to making medicines, the apprentice tended the fires at all hours. Is our biodynamic work so different? We nurture the flame of life, in the obscurity of the interior of the earth.
We are ready for the soul that wishes to walk this path with us and tend the flame of this burgeoning beacon of biodynamics.
Is this you?

Dear Biodynamic Friends,
The Biodynamic Federation would like to invite you to the last Colloquium on Biodynamic Preparations of this year. This online meeting will be held on 23 November at 2 pm CET (10 am Argentina), on the topic “Adapting Biodynamics to Local Contexts and Cultures”. The aim of this colloquium is to exchange experiences on how biodynamics is being locally adapted in different socio-cultural and climatic contexts. Sharing experiences and learning from common challenges helps to strengthen our global community and to advance biodynamics worldwide.
In this session, three biodynamic practitioners will share their experiences:
Jordi Querol from Spain will share his learnings from making the preparations in dry climates. What are the key aspects of maintaining an optimal quality preparation in adverse climatic conditions?
Vivek Venugopal from India will share his experiences introducing biodynamics in culturally rich and diverse contexts of India. How do we build a dialogue between biodynamics and traditional cultures?
Esteban Acosta from Costa Rica will share his process of adaptation in his search to produce quality preparations in the tropical regions. What are the potential and limitations of biodynamics in the tropics?
The meeting will be held in English and Spanish. To join the session please Register in the following link:
