“STAND thou ceaseless guard above the spirit’s kernel,”
my angel’s warning, stern, to me resounds
“foster thou that slow-ripening germ of gods
abiding deep within thy soul’s own fertile grounds,
pulsing with selfhood’s promise.”
From Rudolf Steiner’s The Calendar of the Soul, sixteenth week [July 21-27], trans. Max Leyf

Greetings fellow farmers, gardeners, land enthusiasts, and cosmic stewards!
Fields are bursting with abundance as we progress through the long, hot days of summer. The following astrological observations offer suggestions that may be helpful for planning activities with the land during this time. While these suggestions can serve as general guidance, be sure to consider your own climate and weather patterns first and foremost and adapt according to local conditions.
* Today is Monday, July 24, and it’s 9 o’clock in the morning.
* According to the sidereal zodiac, the Sun transited from Gemini into Cancer yesterday, Sunday July 21, where it will remain through August 11.
* The Moon is currently descending in the northern hemisphere and will continue descending through Saturday, July 29. The descending Moon, in general, helps plants take root after transplanting, so this week offers a nice window for transplanting. If you are in the southern hemisphere where the Moon is ascending, it is generally a better time for sowing and harvesting.
* The Moon transitioned into Virgo this past Saturday afternoon (July 22), where it will remain until early Wednesday morning (July 26). Plant and tend root crops during this extended Earth sign.
* As the waxing moon crosses the halfway mark towards the Full Moon, these root days also offer great opportunities to apply BD 500 Horn Manure to the land during the evening hours.
* However, we will experience the Moon’s descending node from around 9 AM until 2 PM on Tuesday, July 25, during which time it is recommended to refrain from working the land.
* Then, from around 8 AM on Wednesday (July 26) until 3 PM on Thursday (July 27), the Moon transitions into Libra. Plant and tend flowering crops and herbs during this Air sign. These two Flower days also make for excellent opportunities to apply BD 501 Horn Silica to the land and garden. It is recommended to stir 501 along with the rising sun and apply it as a foliar spray during the morning hours.
* From 7 PM on Thursday (July 27) until nightfall on Saturday (June 29), the Moon will then be in Scorpio. Plant and tend leafy crops during this Water sign.
* Overnight into Sunday July 30, the Moon then moves into Sagittarius. This Fire sign offers one final ideal opportunity to apply BD 501 Horn Silica in the morning, before we experience several powerful cosmic occurrences (described below) that will discourage working with the land.
* As the Moon transitions from descending to ascending during the evening of Sunday, July 30, until around noon on Monday, July 31, it is recommended to refrain from working the land.

* We will then experience the Full Moon on Tuesday, August 1. In fact, it will be a Supermoon as the Full Moon coincides with the Moon’s perigee. Because of the intensity of this cosmic occurrence, it is recommended to refrain from working the land until the conclusion of the perigee around 7 PM on Wednesday, August 2.
* Because of the superabundance of Moon forces around the Supermoon, a prophylactic application of Equisetum arvense (BD 508) may be advisable in areas that have experienced a wet month and may be prone to fungus problems.
Thank you for your care and effort as we work together to heal the Earth in conscious cooperation with the cosmos. 🥳
